I love, love, love Pantone’s color of the year for 2017: “Greenery”. After a dreary winter and the crush of everyday news, writing about GREEN and SPRING makes me smile. Each year, Pantone, the global authority on color, chooses its color of the year. They check out the mood and attitude of the world and create a color scheme that designers and retailers and paint supply stores pay attention to. Sometimes it’s a wild wild color, but this year “Greenery” is fresh and zesty and “evokes the first days of spring”.
A refreshing and revitalizing shade, “Greenery” is symbolic of new beginnings. A life-affirming shade, Greenery is also emblematic of the pursuit of personal passions and vitality.

AirBnb was so inspired they created the Pantone Outside In House in London, which has the Pantone color on the front door and opens onto a lush gardenscape.
For a little backstory, check out past Pantone colors of the year: in 2016 I wrote that Rose Quartz was the winner. In 2014, radiant orchid took top honors.
