Nothing is Forever: Let Go and Welcome A New Season

Slowing Down, Featured

There is a time in the last few days of summer when the ripeness of autumn fills the air. – Rudolfo Anaya

Hello Fall! I hope you’re enjoying the increasingly crisp fall weather. I’ve put together a short video saying goodbye to summer and a picture collage with PicMonkey welcoming fall and the fabulousness of New York City, the Berkshires, North Salem and Connecticut.

So in the same way that we let go of seasons to welcome new experience, imagine my grief when I discovered that my elaborate photography backup system was corrupt through no fault of my own. I mailed the entire system back to the company to fix. Sure, most of the 100,000 photographs are intact, but none of the edits have been found…yet.  It takes a village to manage such things. So what is a blogger to do? I went to my trusty iPhone and used the photographs I have created there for this post. My message to remember is that a backup is not an archive. Wish me luck.

September was wonderful, great PR events to attend, fun events with friends, vacations with family: the Berkshires, American Gold Cup, Connecticut shore, the Social Good Conference.

Many of the photographs you see in my blog posts are for sale in my online store. You might just be looking for some color or black and white images for your walls. Or think about gift giving. I take such special care in this creation, delivered in a lovely box .

All photographs are taken by me, unless I have noted otherwise in the caption. I use my Canon 5D III and the iPhone 6+.

So lovely. Thank you for sharing this. I love the video. Summer in Connecticut seems so different from summer in California.

I counted 6 photos with flowers in them …not counting you of course.

Oh my, it’s an addiction the flower thing, trying to cut back. And then there is a dahlia festival this weekend! Thanks for reading and pondering so closely.
