How To Get The Beach To Yourself

Slowing Down, Featured

For the third year in a row, we decided to take our beach vacation post-Labor Day. Why? Because generally when you zig as everyone else zags, you enhance your experience. What do I mean? Hitting Fire Island as everyone else begins work, means the throngs of vacationers are gone. We have the beach to ourselves. I can bicycle without running into anyone. We get easy reservations at restaurants. I can actually read three books, uninterrupted. And study my Spanish. And screen films for a film festival.

When have you zigged? Tell me about it!
