I Flunked Spanish, But I’m Going to Spain Anyway

Journeys, Featured

Usually I research to the nines when I’m about to go on a trip for either work or pleasure. And even if I don’t go to extremes, I know what I want to see before I set foot in the airport. I read travel blogs and peruse the New York Times travel section for months. This time, I didn’t do any of that. I took private Spanish classes, but I flunked.

By the time you read this I will be enroute to Marbella, Spain and surrounding adorable Spanish towns, stumbling my way through conversational Spanish. When I get back I will obviously share some of my photographs, but more importantly the counter-experience of what it is like to travel unprepared and taking days as they come.

I did look on Twitter to get an idea of where I’m headed. I can’t wait to go. Gracias.

Have a wonderful time! I can’t wait to see your photos. We just loved Spain, the food, the architecture, the people, the late hours they keep – enjoy!

Have a ball! What type of photos do you want to leave with?

Oh great question, Nancy, and just seeing this now. I think I got the perfect shots for my first time to Spain. I am so happy I had the time with Peter T, I am happy with my photographs! My newest blogpost is out, part 1 of 3.
