I’m Over the Moon About… My New Website!

Snapshots

One of my most favorite things to do (and there are many!) is to blog about things I see, experience, think about and want to share with you. This new site, I’m Over the Moon About, will now house all of my posts going forward, plus the previous 105! My public relations website remains at Moon PR.

Over The Moon About has launched and I’m so proud of it. What did I focus on in this new site? These six sweet categories below. It’s the same Nancy Moon, only in a new package.

{Cody McBurnett and her team at Loki Loki delivered a blog site I am so proud of. Thank you, Cody, for getting my vision immediately and creating this fresh new look that I love. I wouldn’t change a thing! And, special thanks to Melea Seward, a strategy consultant and educator who I have had the pleasure of working with for years. You are always my go-to person for all things website and branding, YAY to you, a person who has this uncanny ability to always know what my next step should be. Thanks for introducing me to Loki Loki!}

Miscellaneous is always the largest category.

over the moon about new york city

What does New York City mean to you? NYC has something unique in store for each of its 8,175,133 residents and 48.8 million yearly visitors. From food, murals and cultural activities to world-renowned museums, hidden spaces, sweeping architecture, and photographic opportunities, NYC is an urban wonderland with miles and miles of hidden gems. I can’t wait to show you all the ways I’m over the moon about New York City.

over the moon about journeys

What is that popular saying? “The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.” – Lao Tzu. My first step toward a new journey is often planning the trip so I can spend my time collecting stories, meeting locals, and making photographs while I’m there. Journeys showcase safaris in Africa, my yearly trips to Cuba, strolling around Martha’s Vineyard, or experiencing the Hampton Classic Horse show plus all the trips I’ve yet to take!

over the moon about slowing down

You know what is in your control? You can always slow down, take a breath, and recalibrate. While the pace of life around you speeds up, stopping to relax, take stock, and breathe can have a revolutionary impact on your day, your week, and even your whole life. Slowing Down covers living with purpose, food excursions, holidays, taking classes, calligraphy, writing thank yous, and connecting with others, thoughtfully, attentively, and intentionally.

over the moon about inspiration

What inspires you? Inspiration is where I share surprising moments of delight, both large and small. People making big changes with small moves, gatherings of people working to create more good in the world, bucket lists, artists, resolutions, poetry, and aphorisms. Inspiration is all around us; sometimes we just need a little nudge to remember to look and really see.

over the moon about flora and fauna

Do you know what one thing has a big impact on your health? A dose of nature. In Flora & Fauna, we’ll explore farmer’s markets, land conservation, hikes and beekeeping, flowers and festivals, coastline, parks and enjoying the natural environment, even within a city.

over the moon about snapshots

How do you see the world? Snapshots refers to the photography world as well as my way of seeing color, shape and light. It’s a place to share photography workshops, camera lenses, and photo apps as well as visual storytelling techniques. From photo projects to Instagram filters, Snapshots might help you see — and capture — your world through more lenses.

All photographs are taken by me, unless I have noted otherwise in the caption. I used my Canon 5D Mark III and iPhone 7.
