Over The Moon About Steve McCurry’s India and Holiday Sparkle
December 12, 2015
I love visiting new photography and cultural exhibits in New York City. I get inspired to make more photographs and to travel to far and distant places. If you find yourself in New York City, please visit the Rubin Museum in Chelsea, NYC for the Steve McCurry: India exhibit. You have likely seen McCurry’s work — the Afghan Girl with the big green eyes on the cover of National Geographic magazine. His portraits and landscapes from India are both colorful and intoxicating.
In a bit of a meta moment, I couldn’t resist snapping photographs of other spectators snapping photographs of McCurry’s beautiful images. I hope you enjoy! What are you taking photographs of these days?
And now I focus on something entirely different. It’s holiday time and I couldn’t resist putting up some of my holiday photographs. Have a time with your family and friends! I think my favorite is the little girl in red, sitting on her father’s shoulders watching the entertainment. And the curls.
All photographs are taken by me, unless I have noted otherwise in the caption. I used my iPhone 6plus at the Rubin Museum and Canon 5D III elsewhere.

Oh thank you so very much, Lynda! Happy Holidays to you, I know you are surrounded by loads of color right now. See you in 2016.
Love Steve McCurry and the Rubin! A friend of mine is waitress supreme at The Cafeteria across the street. Best brunch in NYC! Ask for Sarah Elizabeth Greer!
Thanks! His work is so colorful, I was in a daze! Sarah is a friend on FB. Don’t ask me how that happened, but small world I would say. 🙂
thank you so much Janet. appreciate you reading and looking at my blog post!
Those are so amazing, just love them. Thank you for sharing, Cape Town is far away from the rest of the world. I enjoy your posts so much and seeing place I will probably never get to. You and Steve enjoy and holidays.
